How many smiles have you shared this week in service to those in need?

Last weekend I had the pleasure of serving veterans who needed dental care.  This is a free service done annually in many cities.

Many people may not understand the vast needs of those who have served in the military now don’t have dental benefits, limited medical benefits, and that are homeless.

It’s not just military.  It’s universal in all walks of life, every city, every country.

How can we as human beings allow this to continue? There is so much waste of funds and other resources but this is not my point.

My reason for writing this is simply to share the joy in providing service to others in need.  I received many hugs and a thousand thank-you and other acts of appreciation.  The acts of gratitude from those who received care was sincere and warm.  It was a pleasure to see someone smile.

I am grateful for the dentists, assistants, hygienist and other volunteers for this awesome mission.

Are you Ready to serve?  It could be a hug, a smile, a donation of clothes, food, blankets or your time.

Share your experience about how you made someone smile lately.
