While on my most recent trip to Belize, after touring with friends on a whirlwind 3 days, I decided to take a few days to relax before going back to work. So, I booked a room at the Belize Ocean Club in Placentia on the beach.
On arrival, I was welcomed with fresh watermelon juice on the lagoon side. My luggage was picked up and carried to my room on a young man’s shoulder. The atmosphere was awesome. Upon entering the room, I found balloons in the living and dining room area, a heart shaped towel on my bed with fresh flowers and fresh fruit in the frig, and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. My private patio door opened to the beach front.
I immediately took off my shoes and ran outside to put my feet in the water. The feeling of the warm sand between my toes and the sun glistening on the waters beating against the shores made my heart leap.
As I watched the water, I thought about how effortless the tide moves in and out. The ripples flow with ease. Sometimes in life, we need to stop, breathe deeply and go with the flow, making our waves along the way.
