Fun Facts About Me
I love to Dance. My first formal lesson was tap at age 55. At 62, I participated in a Star Ball competition dancing Tango, Swing, Salsa, Samba, Foxtrot and Rumba. This was one of my most memorable times.
I love Music. All types from country to blues, from jazz to R&B, but the Oldies with the Isleys, the OJay’s, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin Gladys Knight and the Pipps, The Righteous Brothers, Average White Band and more are my groove.
I love to Read. When I was a young girl, I used to read in bed in the dark, not wanting to wait to find out what happens next. Reading takes me beyond myself to experience other people’s lives, adventures, travels, pain and joys. I have so many books I could have opened a bookstore. I would literally be in the book store for hours. These books are among my favorites: The Red Tent, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, The Four Agreements, The Untethered Soul, The Go Giver, Manifest Your Destiny, The Energy Bus, Peace from Broken Pieces, Becoming, and Everlasting Life, from thought to reality. On a less serious note, James Patterson is a great author. He has a way of engaging me from the moment I open the book until the end. There are so many others…….
Enjoy Every Moment
I Love Good Movies with a message like “The Gift”, Forest Gump, On Golden Pond, Beaches, The Sound of Music, The Notebook, Hidden Figures and more.
I am very spiritual, not religious. I believe in the Divine loving source that is universal, deep within our very core being that guides and directs our lives, loving and learning on the path of life.
I love to cook. I often create new recipes by using what is available. My friends used to tell me if there was a famine, they wanted to be with me because I can make a meal from anything when it looked like there was nothing to eat. I love to write. I am not sure when I started but I would often find myself jotting notes about what I saw and how I felt. I kept a diary as a child and continued to journal throughout my life. I now use journaling as a tool to manifest what I want as if I already have it. I journal in the present tense, I AM and in the positive rather than what happened to me. I found that writing continually in the negative kept me down, so I write the lessons learned and how I can change my mindset and move forward.
